NHTSA Investigates Chrysler Cars, Kia Minivans, and Ford SUVs

The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating:
1. 300,000 1999-2000 Dodge Stratus, Chrysler Cirrus, and Plymouth Breeze cars because of 24 complaints of engine fires.
2. 52,824 2003 Kia Sedona minivans because of five complaints of engine fires.
3. 690,000 2002 Ford Explorer and Mercury Mountaineer sport utility vehicles because of 15 complaints of unwanted acceleration, one of which, reportedly, resulted in a crash.
