A Dodge Safety Investigation and Some Honda, Mercedes, Ford, and Kia Recalls

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced that it is investigating about 500,000 2004-2005 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup trucks and Dodge Durango sport utility vehicles due to two dozen complaints of stalling engines. The complaints allege stalling at various speeds and under various conditions.
Separately, each of the following U.S. safety recalls have been announced:
1. 14,967 2005 Honda Element wagons for an incorrectly wired connector that may cause trailer signal and brake lights to work improperly or fail.
2. 7,191 2006 Mercedes M-Class sport utility vehicle for a clamp on the power steering cooling hose that may cause the hose to leak.
3. 130,000 2003-2005 Ford Crown Victoria cars that were sold to police departments and taxi companies for dashboard insulation that may char due to overheating.
4. 37,358 2003-2005 Kia Sedona minivans for a moisture accumulation problem that may damage the wheel bearing.
