General Motors 2005 Safety Recalls Take Another Bump Up

General Motors is recalling:
(1) 77,055 2001-2002 Chevrolet Astro and GMC Safari minivans for a circuit problem that may cause the rear brake lights or hazard lights to stop working, (for other Astro and Safari news, see "General Motors Chevrolet Astro and GMC Safari Minivans Get Lowest Test Score, Ford's E-150 Gets Lowest Rollover Score, GM Issues Recall of Chevrolet Uplander, Saturn Relay, and Pontiac Montana Minivans," AOI, March 2005)
(2) 35,777 of 2005 Pontiac G6 sedans for neglecting to mention in the owner's manual that there is a child restraint anchor in the middle of the back seat.
The Chevrolet Astro and GMC Safari have among the worst Reliability Percentrank histories of all models in AOI's Table I-MVRP, with 1996-2000 Reliability Percentrank averages of .04 and .05, respectively.
