reliability charts of the April 1995 issue of Consumer Reports,

April 1995 through 2002 issues of Consumer Reports, likely the most respected and followed source of
automobile-quality information in North America.

Highlights
Some interesting highlights of automobile brand and manufacturer quality
in 1995 are:
1. By one of the two quality measures, the Honda brand
dropped some from 1990, but placed first in the other.
2. The Toyota brand continued to place within the Top 10
by both of the two quality measures, as its new Lexus brand placed even
higher - first by one of the two quality measures.
3. Brands of General Motors Corporation and the Chrysler
Group accounted for half or more of the Bottom 10 by both quality rankings.
4. Toyota Motor Corporation was first in quality by both rankings
in 1995.
5. The Big Three - General Motors, Chrysler, and Ford
Motor Company - accounted for half of the Bottom 6 by both quality rankings,
as they did in 1985 and 1990.
